this was taken at my home town.Rourkela,Odisha,India. this is a part of the idol of Godess Durga. Eastern states like Westbengal and Odisha celebrate this festival.Godess Durga is a symbol of good over evil,her being a lady also sybolises womens power.google it for more info...am sure it'll be worth reading...you as a story writer ll find all these mythological stories very interesting.India has thousands of such stories.
